              European Institute for Modern Board Games (Ludus Magnus) (Valladolid, Spain) is a Spain-based educational organisation dedicated to learning, development, and social impact through modern board games and gamification. Founded in Valladolid in July 2023, EIMBG brings together educators, researchers, and trainers with a strong academic background and a shared commitment to designing meaningful, evidence-informed learning experiences. Although formally established as a recent organisation, its founders have been applying board game-based learning and gamification in educational and social contexts for many years, combining innovation with scientific rigor and a strong commitment to inclusion.

Ludus Magnus works with schools, universities, associations, and senior care contexts, using modern board games to strengthen academic competences, soft skills, wellbeing, and cognitive stimulation. Its approach is based on what it calls the Ludus Method, which combines careful game selection, adapted materials, facilitation, and reflective learning processes to maximise educational value. In addition to board game-based learning, the organisation also develops gamified training courses, workshops, and European cooperation projects for educators, youth workers, adult learning professionals, and community organisations.
The team brings more than 20 years of combined experience in education and has been involved in Erasmus+ initiatives and other innovation projects focused on active learning, civic education, social inclusion, and intergenerational dialogue.
