In this section, users can download the Shared Memories Methodological Guide, which provides the common framework for implementing the project’s research and data collection activities. The guide includes the mixed-methods research design, ethical and GDPR-compliant procedures, participant selection criteria, interviewer training protocol, interview and survey procedures, digital archive principles, coding framework, and data analysis guidelines. It also includes practical annexes such as consent forms, metadata sheets, interview guidance, focus group guidance, and quality assurance tools. Interview Script for Older Adults

In this section, users can download the interview script designed to guide the collection of oral testimonies from older adults. The script provides a structured yet flexible framework for exploring personal memories, childhood and family background, political and social context, everyday life, education, communication, religion, gender roles, social norms, inclusion, historical change, and final reflections for younger generations. Country-specific versions adapt the questions to the historical context of each participating country, while maintaining a shared structure across the project. The document is available in PDF format in English and in each of the languages of the participating countries.

Survey for Young People

In this section, users can download the youth survey designed to explore young people’s historical awareness, perceptions of democracy, freedom and rights, family memory, intergenerational dialogue, everyday life under authoritarian contexts, information and propaganda, equality, inclusion, European citizenship, and civic participation. The questionnaire combines 5-point Likert-scale items with open-ended questions, allowing the project to identify knowledge gaps, understand young people’s perspectives, and inform future intergenerational workshops and educational resources.
